SOMEthing to THINK about

Recent Italian space-researchers succeeded in landing a “probe” on the surface of an asteroid. It stayed long enough to do some research and take samples.

To me, one of the striking results was the conclusion, that an asteroid was 60% empty!

Is our moon a former asteroid?

Besides this.

In paleo-antropology and geology it is an accepted fact, that earth was hit several times by asteroids, with destructive and extinction as a result. Three times a world of the dinosaurs was hit and destroyed by a massive impact.

The calculations have to be revised if these space-objects are mostly hollow. Certainly the effects could not have been so drastic.

Other factors may play a role.
